Fees and Policies

BOARDING

Includes daily turn-out, full stall cleaning, 4 feedings/day, blanketing and unblanketing. Boarder to do two 8 PM feeds/month or comparable.

Training Board

Same as regular board. I will school your horse 17 times (4 times/week). You will get your horse ready and cool-out or I can for an additional fee.

Leasing

Available. Full or Part. See Barb.

Lessons

10% for 2 or more lessons/week – or if family members ride

Free Lessons

To anyone who recommends another student who takes a minimum of ten lessons.
Four free lessons if you recommend a boarder who stays at least 6 months.

Practice

45 minutes. Flat work only.

Showing

For boarders/lessees, non-boarders (includes horse) and having a horse shown

You MUST have your horse braided, clipped, cleaned, bathed if necessary And tack and saddle pad spotless. You are also responsible for unbraiding, unbandaging, rubbing down, and helping to load and unload horses, as well as the acre of the horse at the horse show. Non-horse owners MUST take a minimum of two lessons the week prior to the show.

Commission

10% of the purchase price that you have negotiated for selling or buying. I will look for and make all the arrangements for the inspection of the prospective horse(s). The fee includes my evaluation and riding of the horse as well as observing you ride the horse as many times as required. Same rate if I sell your horse.

Cancellation Policy

YOU WILL BE CHARGED FOR LESSONS CANCELLED WITHIN 24 HOURS OF YOUR SCHEDULED LESSON TIME -UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO RESCHEDULE YOUR LESSON WITHIN 5 DAYS.

Non-payment at time of Lesson

There will be an additional charge for lesson payment not received day of lesson

Dirty Bit/Girth

You will be required to make a $5 donation to The Thoroughbred Retirement Foundationor another mutually agreed upon horse charity.

Broken Equipment

You are responsible for replacing or repairing anything that breaks during your use. Likewise, let me know if you see any damaged tack.
